The lack of studs on the Esa-Tecar Super Grip 7 cannot be considered a disadvantage of this model, as its tread contains a multitude of wavy lamellas. These tread elements, due to their design and significant quantity, more than compensate for the lack of studs. When in contact with the road, they open up, forming a multitude of sharp edges that easily penetrate the water film on ice, providing the tire with reliable traction. At the same time, the wavy walls of the lamellas are tightly fixed to each other, increasing the stiffness of the blocks and, thereby, the handling on dry roads.
High-performance drainage system
Despite the lack of longitudinal grooves, the drainage system of this tire is highly efficient. This is achieved through the increased size and number of transverse channels. All of them have a curved shape, which reduces the likelihood of water vortex formation, ensuring a higher water circulation speed and significantly improving resistance to aquaplaning.
