The Doublestar DW01 winter studded tire is primarily designed for compact passenger cars. It is adapted for use on road surfaces with frequent formation of ice on its surface. In such conditions, the tire is distinguished by reliable traction and predictable behavior in complex weather conditions.
The tread pattern is made in a directional symmetric design. Its key feature is the increased size of the elements. This makes the contact patch larger, which has a positive effect on the traction properties on dry pavement and reduces the level of abrasive impact on the tread. The effectiveness of its work at a low coefficient of friction is achieved due to the long and inclined edges formed by the blocks and several thousand wave-shaped lamellas. Additionally, the tread pattern contains a large number of studs. The arrangement scheme of the studs implies the formation of 10 continuous longitudinal rows during movement.
