Unique rubber compound
A unique rubber compound was applied to obtain improved driving characteristics. The high content of silica made it possible to significantly increase the elasticity of the Cordiant Sport 3 rubber. This had a positive effect on the traction characteristics, as well as accelerated the recovery of the tread, which reduced the load on the suspension elements. Silicon helped to increase the wear-resistant qualities of the rubber, as a result of which the tread life increased. The rubber compound increased the speed characteristics of the tread and allowed to reduce the rolling resistance, reducing fuel consumption and increasing stability during movement. Also, the heating of the tire at maximum speeds decreased, which reduced the risk of damage and rupture. The unique rubber compound has increased elasticity, providing a comfortable ride.
New tread design
The tread design provided excellent operational characteristics. Three central continuous ribs provide straight-line stability and confident feedback. Large blocks in the lateral zone protect the tread from possible damage and increase stability during maneuvers. Four deep water drainage channels quickly remove water and dirt from the tread, preventing possible aquaplaning.
