The Contyre Arctic Ice II tire is a passenger, winter model that has proven itself well in harsh winter weather: in snowfalls, ice, and frost. The directional tread and wide side grooves provide increased protection against aquaplaning, improved self-cleaning improves passability in snow, moisture, and mud. Excellent grip, minimal braking distance, and excellent operational characteristics of the tire were achieved through new developments.
This tire is designed for any winter conditions. It has shown excellent results on wet, icy, and snowy roads. The tire is characterized by exceptional braking and traction characteristics on rolled snow. This is achieved due to the record number of lamellas (about 5 thousand), which significantly increase the coefficient of friction with the road and ensure effective braking.
The guarantee of safety when driving on ice is the spikes, which are optimally located and have a alternation in several rows. Special technological holes help to increase the durability of the spikes, which are responsible for the reliable fixation of the spike in the rubber. The performance indicators of the winter tire Contyre Arctic Ice II depend on the quality of the rubber compound, which does not allow the tire to "freeze" in the frost. The applied mixture is called "silica" or "silicon-containing polymers". This mixture was used in this tire, which made it possible to achieve high safety when driving and reliable operation of the tire in a wide temperature range.
A specially designed central rib of the tread provides excellent directional stability, making the ride more comfortable. The special arrangement of the grooves, which was obtained with the help of computer developments, allows the tire to quickly self-clean from snow and mud, as well as quickly remove snow slush from the contact patch. Providing excellent passability, the tire retains excellent acoustic comfort when driving a car.
Main features of the Contyre Arctic Ice II tire
- The V-shaped tread of the tire forms an anti-water and anti-snow wedge, guarantees minimal rolling resistance;
- composite studs provide excellent transverse grip;
- the central solid rib has increased directional stability;
- complex lamellation increases grip in difficult conditions;
- optimized multi-row spiking increases stability.
