Description Continental ContiSportContact 2 255/45 R18 99Y

Tires Continental ContiSportContact 2 are distinguished by safe driving at high speeds, reliable handling, confident behavior on steep turns, high grip with road surface, safe driving on wet asphalt and reduced risk of aquaplaning.

The excellent tread pattern design provides reliable handling in turns and excellent braking performance. The mixture of ContiSportContact 2 tires includes quartz, which provides excellent behavior on wet roads. Massive continuous ribs and a closed outer shoulder guarantee super-precise handling on both straight and winding road sections, as well as on steep turns. The pressure is distributed more evenly due to the ContiSportContact 2 AMS, which improves contact with the surface. The contact patch during braking is significantly increased compared to its predecessor, which reduces the braking distance.

Continental ContiSportContact 2: sporty handling on dry asphalt and dynamic driving

The model is designed for drivers who value precise steering and grip at high speeds during the warm season. It should be noted that tread life and comfort depend on road surface quality and driving style.

Who is it suitable for: Suitable for vehicle owners whose manufacturers recommend Continental tyres for active driving in urban and highway conditions. The tyre delivers confident handling on dry asphalt, ensuring stability during cornering and lane changes. In new condition, the tread compound effectively channels water, reducing the risk of aquaplaning at speeds up to 100 km/h. This choice is justified in regions with well-maintained roads, where deep potholes and gravel are absent. Drivers report predictable steering response during aggressive driving. Ideal for mid-range and premium vehicles where dynamic performance takes priority over maximum tyre lifespan. The tyre tread pattern ensures reliable braking on warmed-up surfaces.

Who should consider an alternative: It's better to choose another class if you're looking for tires for use on poor roads with frequent surface defects. The construction is sensitive to impacts, so extra caution is required on uneven surfaces when the vehicle is fully loaded. Long-term use without replacement shouldn't be expected if every kilometer of mileage already driven matters. In wet conditions, after more than 50% tread wear, grip properties may decrease, requiring monitoring of remaining tread depth. Winter use, including snow and ice, is excluded due to the summer rubber compound.

Main reason for choice: The main reason to buy is proven sporty performance on dry surfaces at an affordable price for the brand. You get premium handling, sacrificing some tread life and comfort on rough asphalt. A reasonable compromise for those who change cars or tyres more often than they wear them out completely. It's important to monitor pressure and tread condition to maintain safety in wet weather. For the scenario of 'maximum driving enjoyment in summer', this is one of the best solutions in its segment.
