The BFGoodrich Mud Terrain T/A KM3 summer tire is designed for SUVs. It stands out for its improved performance on unpaved surfaces with reduced bearing capacity. Thanks to modern technologies and materials, it has excellent efficiency for its class on solid grounds and asphalt roads.
The tread pattern is adapted for off-road operation. The shoulder blocks are massive in size, which increases traction on soft unpaved surfaces, especially when the tire pressure is lowered. The drainage grooves contain special grooves, allowing the tread to effectively self-clean from soil particles.
The tread is made of Krawl-TEK 4th generation rubber compound. Its feature is a combination of elasticity and strength against tearing and stretching. When driving on uneven surfaces, the tread takes their shape, and the increased length of the block edges provides reliable grip with them.
The sidewall thickness has been increased compared to the previous model by almost a third. Together with the mechanical strength of the rubber compound and the optimized design of the shoulder areas, this minimizes the risk of damage on off-road terrain.
