BFGoodrich Long Trail T/A 265/65 R17 110T

The BFGoodrich Long Trail T/A is a light truck universal tire designed for light trucks with increased passability, as well as other all-wheel drive vehicles, 80% of which are operated on hard roads and 20% on off-road. The tire is available in 25 different sizes.

The external appearance of the tire is distinguished by an asymmetric tread pattern design. The tread pattern of the tire consists of three rows of individual blocks and two shoulder zones, one of which, located on the inside of the tire, is a separate row of blocks, and the shoulder zone on the opposite side is more similar to highway tires.

To effectively remove water, mud and other foreign objects from the tire's contact patch, the tread pattern is equipped with four wide grooves, the configuration of which varies depending on the shape and arrangement of the blocks. The surface of each block is covered with several zigzag-shaped lamellas that improve traction on slippery surfaces without compromising the stiffness of the blocks themselves.

The small distance between the blocks actually forms five continuous ribs, which increases the contact area of the BFGoodrich Long Trail T/A tire, significantly improving the directional stability and handling, as well as reducing the braking distance. Additionally, such a block structure leads to a reduction in noise levels and contributes to reduced fuel consumption due to reduced rolling resistance.

The shoulder zone located on the inside of the tread consists of individual blocks with sharp edges that improve the tire's behavior on difficult road sections. At the same time, the shoulder zone on the outside of the tread effectively prevents lateral skidding when cornering due to the greater loading of the outside of the tire when cornering.

Since the tire is designed for quite heavy light trucks, the tire's carcass combines strength, elasticity, and low weight due to the use of a two-layer metal-containing cord and polymer fibers. Thanks to the careful selection of the rubber compound components, the tire has high resistance to wear, which ensures a longer service life.
