Barum Polaris 2

Winter non-studded tires Barum Polaris 2, produced by one of the most famous Czech manufacturers, will perfectly suit most modern passenger cars. This model is produced in several dozen sizes, from 135/80R13 to 225/45R17. Depending on the size, the tire can have speed indices T, H, and V, which implies movement at speeds of up to 240 km/h.

The symmetrical directional tread pattern is made in one of the most efficient V-shaped designs, which has a number of undeniable advantages. In particular, this tire is distinguished by a very even distribution of load on the contact patch. At the same time, excellent traction and directional stability on various types of surfaces are provided due to the numerous sharp edges of the blocks located in the central part of the tread, as well as in its shoulder zones.

Another characteristic feature of this tire is the impressive width of the grooves and drainage channels. Due to this solution, it was possible to ensure the rapid removal not only of water but also of meltwater and mud. In addition, the shoulder zones of the Barum Polaris 2 tire are also equipped with wide transverse channels, which further increases the efficiency of the drainage system in winter conditions.

It is also worth noting the presence of lamellas on the surface of each tread element, which, in the absence of studs, provide traction when moving on snowy and icy surfaces. At the same time, the Czech tire manufacturers used two types of lamellas - zigzag and cross-shaped. Zigzag lamellas are located on the blocks in the shoulder zones of the tread, which significantly improves traction when turning. At the same time, cross-shaped lamellas located in the central part of the tread improved directional stability, as well as the efficiency of acceleration and braking.
