The "Scandinavian" tread pattern is a combination of an arrow-shaped rib in the middle and numerous blocks on the edges. The separately standing elements are distributed in groups, due to which cross-shaped elongated edges are formed in the contact patch. This significantly improves traction on snow. Efficiency on more slippery icy surfaces is provided by densely notched lamellas and a large number of studs.
