The Pirelli Scorpion Trail III motorcycle tire is designed for enduro category bikes, with a fairly specific application sphere — predominantly on asphalt roads, with occasional forays onto dirt roads. In terms of its operational properties, this model is close to Sport-Touring category tires.

The tread pattern design is a further development of the previous model's design, with a significant number of borrowings from the Diablo sports tire line. First and foremost, this is the characteristic shape of the drainage grooves, which not only divert water from under the contact patch but also contribute to a more even distribution of load across it, preventing wear and ensuring a smoother ride on dirt roads. Another feature is the use of an optimized compound. The front tire uses one silicone-based compound, while the rear tire uses two. The edges of the tread are made from a more elastic rubber mixture with special plasticizers based on wood resin, which enhances grip in turns while remaining resistant to abrasive wear. The difference from the Diablo sports tires is the structure of the carcass. Both tires have a steel cord, with the version for the rear wheel standing out for its greater rigidity, which ensures stable grip properties even under increased weight load on the bike.
