Spiral Coil Technology
This model was one of the first to feature the latest development from Korean tire makers - Spiral Coil technology. It consists of an additional third layer of breaker made from steel cord. The key feature of this technology is the spiral winding method without any seams or joints. The absence of seams and joints, combined with the dense arrangement of steel threads, resulted in a very robust and rigid structure. This, in turn, improved several critical operational properties of this tire. Most of these improvements are a direct consequence of optimizing the distribution of external pressure across the contact patch, which became very even and took on a nearly square shape that remains unchanged under the influence of multidirectional acceleration forces. As a result, the stability of traction properties, load capacity, and resistance to uneven wear have increased.
6-Sided Tread Blocks
The tread pattern of this tire features six longitudinal ribs composed of individual blocks with an original 6-sided shape. This shape further increases the tread's resistance to uneven wear and the tire's load capacity. At the same time, the numerous edges of the blocks improve traction properties, while their longitudinal arrangement with varying spacing relative to each other reduces rolling resistance and enhances acoustic comfort.
