Multifunctional lamellas

In the absence of separate blocks, all the tread edges of this tire are provided with numerous lamellas cut into all its longitudinal ribs. Due to their shape, these tread elements have multifunctionality. In addition to forming the tread edges, they improve resistance to aquaplaning, directing water from the contact patch into one of the nearby drainage grooves. Moreover, these lamellas optimize the distribution of external pressure on it, preventing uneven wear of the tread. In this regard, it is impossible not to mention the original serrated edges of the tread ribs, which also contribute to increasing the tire's service life.
