Tires on Porsche (Порше)
The Porsche car brand is owned by the German company of the same name, which is engaged in the development and production of sports sedans, coupes, and crossovers. It is one of the structural divisions of Volkswagen AG, the controlling stake of which, in turn, belongs to the Porsche Automobil holding. This became the result of an agreement concluded in 2009, which implied the merger of the two companies.History of formation
The founders of the company are Ferdinand Porsche, Adolf Rosenberger, and Anton Piech, who created it in 1931. Initially, the firm provided car development services, but not their production. One of the first such orders was made by the government of Germany, which needed a mass car that was maximally accessible for purchase. As a result, the Volkswagen Beetle appeared, one of the most popular models of all time. During the Second World War, the firm was engaged in the development of heavy tanks, including the super-heavy Maus, and was able to build two prototypes. At the end of the war, when the enterprise was under the control of the Allied forces, Ferdinand Porsche was arrested for war crimes, but managed to avoid trial. During his 20-month imprisonment, he decided to create a car that he would like to buy himself. Subsequently, it became the Porsche 356, the first instances of which were built in 1950.Porsche 911
The company's first model with the 356 index, although it proved to be very successful, had a number of significant drawbacks. First of all, this is the extensive use of components from the Volkswagen Beetle. During several modifications, they were replaced with components of their own production. Nevertheless, the model was rapidly becoming obsolete and significantly inferior to the sports cars that appeared on the European market from Italy. The development of a new car began in 1959 with sketches drawn by Ferdinand Porsche Jr. It was a more powerful, larger, and at the same time comfortable coupe with a rear engine layout. The debut of the Porsche 911 took place in 1963 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The first versions of the sports car were equipped with an air-cooled Type 901/01 engine with a power of 130 hp. In 1966, the 911S appeared with a more efficient 160-hp engine, as well as with "signature" forged aluminum alloy wheels. In later versions, the engine power was increased to 220 hp. It was modified over the years, staying on the assembly line until 1998, when a power unit with water cooling went into production. The 911 was actively involved in racing, both factory and private teams, becoming one of the most successful cars for competitions. The millionth instance of this not-so-mass model was released in 2017.Model range
Currently, the brand's product line consists of seven models. In addition to the most popular Porsche 911 sports car, it includes a pair of crossovers, two sedans, and two coupes. All cars are distinguished by "signature" handling and exceptional dynamics. To a large extent, these features are determined by the installed tires, which must have approval from the manufacturer. Such tires are presented in the catalog of the "Mosavtoshina" online store.Advantages of selecting tires for Porsche on our website
