This version is considered the most popular due to the combination of traction and moderate fuel consumption. As an alternative, a 2.3-liter turbocharged "four" of the EcoBoost family is offered, producing 245 horsepower and 400 Nm at its peak. It is combined exclusively with an 8-speed "automatic".

All trim levels feature a four-wheel drive system — a classic "part-time" with mechanical front axle engagement and a transfer case with a "reducer". Top trim levels add an electronically controlled rear differential and engine and transmission operating modes for sand, mud, and rocky terrain.
