Tyre reviews Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ. Страница 1 15

One of the best MTs, fairly quiet. Bought 33" (285-75-16) and rides pretty good in the dirt. Did not rate for winter since only drove on it in the summer, though the tire is pretty soft, it should moderately make it through the winter.
The only minus is the weight.

Went 4x4 on MTZ for 4 years. Wear on tread is 60%. All would be fine, but now there are cracks and splits on both front tires along the cord pattern. And the last time there was almost no off-road driving. Very disappointed. The tires are from 2014 and should not be worn out yet. Before that I used Mickey Thompson ATZ (no issues at all - each set did 90,000 km and were still used by others

It behaves well only on dry asphalt, loose snow, and mud. Anything else, and it's more of a "catastrophe" than acceptable. The worst part: Without any reason, the side walls burst in the most unexpected situations. It even happened that the car was just stationary, and the side wall exploded, making it impossible to inflate. In four months, I already changed three tires due to side wall cracks (despite driving only on Moscow city's asphalt roads during that period

It performs well in the mud, somewhat average on asphalt, and is quite loud and wears out quickly. It does not handle well in wet conditions, and driving over large puddles at high speed is not recommended, as aquaplaning is a significant risk. It is not recommended to drive at all on snow and ice, as it's very difficult to stop the vehicle.

Excellent tire up to 120 km/h, doesn't make any noise, got a branch stuck to the sidewall but the tire held up just fine, respect.

They do well in mud, and they are also good on asphalt.

The only downside to the tire is that it's rock-proof. A week after the rotation, it blew a tire on rocks, another one a month later.

Excellent for off-road and very noisy on the asphalt. High mileage, excellent mud traction, and an open tread that doesn't plug.
