I bought these tires in 2021 on a website, they were sold as Pirelli Formula Ice, I purchased and installed them, and only afterwards found out that they are not actually made by Pirelli, had I known, I wouldn't have bought them. In the end, if you have a four-wheel drive vehicle and drive in a slow pace, like a pensioner, these tires are fine.
I definitely wouldn't choose them for a front-wheel drive car.
On ice with snow, the grip is average, on pure ice it's minimal, on snow it's average, and on asphalt it's fine.
The tires do have some advantages, I read reviews that they are hard to balance, but mine were balanced perfectly. I want to believe that the manufacturer is working on their mistakes, and it's not just my good luck.
And the second advantage is that after 15,000 km, one winter, and driving on asphalt, I haven't lost a single stud.
In general, I would give these tires a solid 3.

I put them on a car that I'm trading in. After 2 days of driving, I realized that Michelin, which I removed and was thrilled about, and which is twice as expensive, is not particularly different! Compared to Goodyear (I've had 3 sets of those), Formula is definitely better! It's quieter and more comfortable. Better on ice. Balanced well! But I think, since it's cheap, it might become stiff below -20°C. However, up to -10°C, the tires are quite decent for the price. I won't comment on the studs. The tires have 80% tread left, 16 years old. Maybe they just lay around somewhere (I bought them used on Avito).

Overall, a pleasant surprise (I bought them used for 1250 rubles per piece). The new Michelin I removed costs 12500 rubles per piece!

Bought for Santa Fe, haven't tried it yet, so I'm writing a review based on my experience with RAV4 2018: drove for 5 seasons, not a single stud came out, drove at 130 km/h on winter asphalt. Stability and passability are excellent. The only small minus is that they are noisy, like driving a tank, not critical for me. I'll buy the same ones next time!

225/65r17 Lasted for 5 seasons and left a very good impression. I drove almost everywhere: any ice, snow up to 15cm deep, broken muddy roads, etc. (at a slow pace, easily). I had to dig only once when the snow depth was more than 20cm. Very quiet for studded tires. The compound is very elastic, withstood -30 frost without any issues. I lost about 20% of the studs over the entire time. I avoided cuts and punctures. There was only one instance of skidding when turning in deep snowy slush at a speed of 30-40 km/h, but the anti-skid system worked as it should. In general, the tires are very decent, in my opinion. By the 5th season, they started to lose studs, although there was still a lot of tread left, but I had to replace them.

The rubber is too soft, so immediately after installation, there was a slight feeling of "sponginess", especially right after summer tires. However, with the onset of frost, it is the softness of the rubber that is fully appreciated, as it does not become stiff and holds perfectly. It confidently copes with snow, ice, and other delights of winter.

Quite good speed characteristics for winter tires, and also from the budget segment.

Last winter I drove on such tires on my work car. Above all praise, including due to the price. Took it for myself this year. Balances perfectly, the tire is even, of good quality.

For 5 years all the studs are in place. The tips of the studs are slightly broken. The rubber is crack-free. The tread does not wear out. Fully justifies its price.

In comparison with a Haka 8, for example, there's no difference at all.
I've put them on three cars and have no complaints, I'd even say there are no drawbacks.

When buying a car from the factory, it was equipped with summer Pirelli tires, which I liked, so for the winter I decided to take Pirelli's "daughter" - "Formula Ice". They pleased me with the price. After the first winter, I was also pleased with the price-quality ratio. The tire is really good. Moderately noisy - considering the not too good factory sound insulation, and the presence of studs.

I didn't expect it to be good rubber.
I had to change the Nokian 7 (the tread on the Nokian 7 had eaten away the coins from driving on the highway, not eaten for a year).
I thought I was getting Pirelli.
The car behaves like it's on Nokian 7.
The only differences from the Nokian 7 are positive.
