    Advantages

    * Well-placed studs (depending on the driving style), good understeer, low wear.

    Disadvantages

    * After three seasons of operation, at 30-35,000 km, deformation of all tires on the protector, although it looks like it’s still going strong.

So, my review of the Formula Ice tire. In autumn 2014 I bought this tire, a set of the same year, 195/65 R15 on a Nissan T

I chose them after a long time of hesitation due to financial constraints. At the time of purchase, they were a novelty but had mostly positive reviews. I ran them for 2 seasons and here are my impressions:

    Plus points

    1. Soft. I drive a lot, mostly in the city, and find it comfortable. There is noise from the studs, of course, but I don't know any non-studded tires that are quiet.

    2. Handling, braking and on asphalt and snow –

17.10.2014. I already wrote a review after the installation of the new tyres, and I am raising my satisfaction level significantly with this tyre. Wear of the studs. After two winters on the front axle, the right rear wheel lost three studs, the left rear wheel lost two. The right rear wheel lost one stud, but the left rear wheel kept all its studs intact. Excellent on any slippery surface. I drive without wheelspin, understeer, or oversteer,

Excellent tires for the price, feel confident on a winter city road. Negative points - braking on asphalt at around and slightly above zero, but this is also about studs. And some understeer on the road, but this is also typical for winter tires, and the same can be observed in high-end branded tires. At negative temperatures, the tire behaves more than adequately and predictably, climbs the icy slope without any problems, good braking and traction on a winter road, and on asphalt at negative

I purchased these tires in the 195/65/15 size. I've used them before, previously having them on a Ford Fusion. The tires are decent, a bit noisy, but they handle the road confidently, perform well in aquaplaning, and can handle driving on snowy roads. However, they are less effective on icy or slippery roads. BUT the Price = Quality. Overall, I like the tires. I'm considering switching to 16-inch wheels and looking at the same tires in the 205/60/16 size.

I purchased these tires in 2017. Similar to Pirelli, I previously had Ice Zero on my first Kalina Sport, which I really liked, but when it was time to replace them on my Kalina Sport 2, I also needed to buy new wheels, so I opted for a slightly cheaper option. The first couple of seasons were great. They weren't too noisy on asphalt and handled well on both snow and ice. However, by the fourth and fifth seasons, significant noise on asphalt became noticeable, making it uncomfortable to drive. Now, in the sixth season, they're still okay on packed snow, but driving on asphalt is impossible due to extreme vibration and noise, worse than the AN-24. As others have written, you can't drive more than 30-40 thousand kilometers on these tires; they become too hard. After five years of use, the tread is still in good condition, and most of the studs are in place. In our Belgorod region, winters are relatively warm, and the roads are mostly asphalt with ice. Therefore, I'm considering changing my tires. If the roads were predominantly snowy, I might have been able to use them for another season. I can recommend these tires for purchase; they handle well and don't float, but don't expect miracles - the only downside is the noise.

P.S. If there were KAMA tires in my size (185.50.15), I would have bought them. I once bought KAMA Irbis for my 4x4, and they were much quieter, yet handled just as well.

Surprisingly good speed characteristics, apparently due to its relation to Pirelli) Very confident behavior on dry asphalt for studded tires. Because of this, I even worried that there were too few studs and didn't know how they would behave on ice. But then I was able to test them on ice as well, and everything was quite stable and predictable. Of course, if it's black ice like in the annual videos from Vladivostok, you won't be able to drive like on asphalt. But icy sections on the highway, polished sections at traffic lights or uphill, etc. are overcome quite stably. Neither acceleration nor braking causes difficulties. The tire also confidently handles snow. In general, there's not much to complain about. I hope it will be durable, time will tell.

I bought this on my second car after Hankook Winter i*pike RS2. Even more pleased with it. The only thing is, while it's performing well so far, I'm still unsure how it will hold up in terms of wear resistance. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Hello all. I've been running these tires for 3 seasons (from late September to early May). The total mileage is over 25,000 km. The first two seasons were great - minimal tire wear (less than 10 on the entire set after the first winter, and they were all still intact). They handled snowy and icy roads perfectly. I caught myself thinking how great the car behaved - I'd brake and it would brake, I'd turn and it would turn. The car's

Pros: cost, studs are firmly seated, after 2 seasons of not particularly careful driving - all studs are in place, quiet, soft, handles snow well, also confident on ice with four-wheel drive.
Cons: very soft sidewall, with a 65 profile after hitting a pothole, a bulge was caught.
    I would like more studs.
