I was corrected, pleasantly surprised.
I bought it used in April 2008. I've already driven about 6000 km, apart from positive impressions, I haven't experienced anything else. On dry and wet asphalt, it's excellent, there's almost no noise, it goes through deep puddles like an icebreaker on ice, without deviating to the right or left. Good tire with dry grip and wear, not so well on wet road. But generates the type wheel bearing noise from squealing tire, which is very annoying! The noise level varies from tire to tire!

Seems like a good ALLROUNDER to me, very confident with over 33,000 miles on the fronts. Can't comment on snow, shouldn't have any. Good value for the price.
