Titan closes Tennessee plant

Titan International has announced that it has decided to consolidate production in North America and close the tire plant located in Jackson (Tennessee, USA) by the end of October 2026. Production will be relocated to other company plants over the next few months. The plant employs around 150 people, and Titan has committed to supporting them during their job search.

"The decision to consolidate production and close the Jackson plant was not an easy one, especially considering its impact on our employees and their families," said Paul Reitz, CEO of Titan. "We will continue to strive to improve efficiency while maintaining the flexibility and production volumes needed to serve our customers."

The company also emphasizes that it will continue to own a "diversified network of manufacturing facilities" across North America, which produce tires for agricultural, garden, construction, and other special equipment, ATVs, and more.

The Tennessee plant became part of Titan in 2024, when the company acquired Carlstar.

On March 18, a plant in the US was also closed by the Japanese company Yokohama.
