Linglong tires for forklifts have become stronger
Linglong announced that it has significantly improved the characteristics of the LP401 tires for reach stackers and the LP402 for container cranes, and the reinforced zone of the sidewall and side walls increase the strength of the tires, while the special composition of the rubber mixture reduces heat generation and increases resistance to wear.
"As large vessels transport more and more containers, port operators must rely on their equipment to load and unload them on time, so the least they need is an unexpected downtime due to a worn or damaged tire," noted Jean-Paul Speeker, Sales and Marketing Director of the Linglong Special Tire Division in Europe. "Having studied the opinions of port operators around the world, we have further improved the design of our LP401 tires for reach stackers and LP402 for container cranes on rubber tires (RTG). In combination with the modification of the rubber compound, this has made it possible to increase the strength of the tires by 30%, while the optimized tread void ratio improves stability, and we have also increased the tread depth of the LP401 to enhance traction on hard surfaces."

The company also points out that the loading and unloading of container ships is a carefully controlled process that requires special equipment, such as cranes, portal transporters, and reach stackers, and reliable tire operation is necessary for the smooth operation of ports.
"Thanks to the improved characteristics and strength of the Linglong tires, operators can reduce equipment downtime, as the need for maintenance is minimized, and they can operate equipment twenty-four hours a day," added Speeker.
Linglong LP401 tires are available in sizes 12.00-24, 14.00-24, 16.00-25, and 18.00-25 with a tread depth of 40 to 65 mm, and the LP402 is available in sizes 18.00-25 and 21.00-25 with a depth of 44 mm.
