The new Audi S3 is the first vehicle to be equipped with the recently introduced Falken Azenis RS820 tires at the factory, which the manufacturer, Japanese Sumitomo Rubber Industries, classifies as Super-Ultra High Performance (SUHP).

The Audi S3 is equipped with the quattro all-wheel drive system and produces 333 horsepower at 420 Nm of torque, while the Falken Azenis RS820 tires were designed to improve handling and control at high speeds. The model features an asymmetric tread pattern with four circumferential grooves and optimized shoulder design, which provides optimal lateral stability on dry roads, and also uses technologies from motorsports - the construction strength is increased due to the use of aramid fibers, while the breaker belt structure is optimized for more even pressure distribution and increased safety.

The Azenis RS820 pattern also includes large ribs that increase stability in corners and when driving in a straight line, and the width and depth of the grooves have been increased to more effectively prevent aquaplaning. In addition, the Advanced 4D-Nano Design simulation technology helped create a rubber compound with increased durability, and since weight is also important in the case of sports cars, the engineers worked to reduce the weight of the tires.

"From the beginning, we aimed to develop tires that are suitable for dynamic driving and improve maneuverability thanks to high traction. The Azenis RS820 fully meets the strict requirements of Audi engineers and demonstrates our capabilities in the SUHP segment."

For the Audi S3 sports hatchback and sedan, produced in Ingolstadt, Germany, the tires are supplied in the size 235/35 R19, and for the secondary European market, they were released in 38 sizes, the number of which will be increased in the near future.
