New tires for compact minivans from Bridgestone

The Bridgestone company has expanded its line of automotive tires by introducing new tires for compact vans with a payload of up to three tons. The model has been named Bridgestone Blizzak LM-32C. This friction tire is a successor to the Bridgestone Blizzak LM-18C. As noted by the company's employees, its advantages over its predecessor are, first and foremost, improved traction on snow, braking on a wet surface, and wear resistance.
Improved coupling on a wet surface is facilitated by a unique composition of the tread rubber mixture, which includes silica. At the same time, rolling resistance is reduced, and as a result, the life of the tire is increased. Tests have shown that the new model can last up to ten percent longer than the predecessor tire. Wear on the driving axle has also slowed down by twenty-one percent.
The Bridgestone Blizzak LM-32C tire is capable of withstanding heavy loads thanks to a breaker belt made of high-strength, yet lightweight materials, as well as an optimized carcass shape.
The tread pattern design of the tire has a directional character and is similar to the tread pattern design of tires for passenger cars. This has improved traction on snowy and wet roads. The unidirectional lamellas also contribute to this.
Thanks to the deep longitudinal and transverse grooves, effective removal of moisture and wet snow from the contact patch with the road surface is carried out. Thus, resistance to aquaplaning and slush planing is ensured.
Finally, the rigid shoulder blocks provide excellent handling in all conditions.
This tire has the M + S ("Mud plus Snow") marking, as well as a snowflake symbol, which indicates that it is a specialized winter tire.
As assured by the Director of Marketing of the European branch of Bridgestone, Jose Enrique Gonzalez, "Bridgestone Blizzak LM-32C will be produced in the popular sizes of today", namely in nine sizes with a diameter of 14-16 inches with speed indices R and T. The tire will go on sale this year.
