The company Kumho Tire received an award for creative design in China, which was awarded to the Kumho EnnoV Sport VS73 tire, part of the recently introduced EnnoV line, developed specifically for electric and hybrid vehicle owners.

As the manufacturer emphasizes, the EnnoV VS73 became the first electric vehicle tire on the market to be produced using the HLC (High Load Capacity) technology in all sizes, meaning it has a higher load capacity compared to tires with the XL (Extra Load) designation, which plays a particularly important role when used on electric vehicles equipped with heavy batteries. Additionally, the K-Silent technology is used, which reduces resonant noise in the tire cavity using sound-absorbing material, and tread pattern analysis technologies helped improve handling and wear resistance parameters.

The tires are made from a special rubber compound with high-dispersed silica, which, according to Kumho, not only improved energy efficiency but also increased the tire's lifespan and improved its braking properties.

The award ceremony took place at the Kumho Chinese Technical Center (KCTC) in the presence of its director, Kim Chul, and the vice president and general secretary of the Tianjin Industrial Design Association, Cui Lixian.

"Last year, sales of new energy vehicles in China reached 40.9% of total new car demand, and this segment continues to grow," Kim noted, adding that "Kumho Tire will strive to develop innovative mobility technologies and become a leading brand in the market."

The China Creative Design Award is jointly awarded by the Beijing Design Society and industry associations from Tianjin (where Kumho's technical center is located), Hebei, Liaoning, Jilin, and Heilongjiang to "identify and reward outstanding design work".
