Sailun first entered the top 10 most valuable tire brands in the world

Relatively young company Sailun, founded in 2002, continues to expand its list of achievements, and if at the end of 2023 the company from Qingdao entered the top 10 largest tire manufacturers in the world, and in 2025 the summer tire Sailun Atrezzo ZSR2 became the first Chinese product to enter the top 10 in the big test of Auto Bild magazine, then now the leading consulting agency for brand evaluation, Brand Finance, has included Sailun in the top 10 most expensive tire brands in the global market.

According to analysts, in 2025, the total value of Chinese tire brands showed modest growth and increased from $2.7 to $2.8 billion, and Sailun again became the most expensive Chinese brand in the tire market. The brand's value grew by 13%, to $905 million, which allowed it to overtake the Japanese Toyo and enter the top 10 in the world.

The strongest Chinese tire brand remains Linglong (the brand's value decreased by 2%, to $785 million) with an index of 62.6 out of 100 and a rating of A+. It is noted that Linglong's good positions are largely due to the development of eco-friendly tires (in China, the company supplies tires for equipping numerous models of vehicles with new energy sources) and the expansion of its presence abroad (not so long ago, Linglong became the first Chinese tire company to open its own plant in Europe, namely in Serbia).

The Brand Finance rating also includes Chinese brands Sentury (-12%, $332 million), CST (owned by Taiwanese Maxxis, -1%, $289 million) and Triangle ($226 million), which took 19th, 22nd, and 25th places, respectively.

"Perhaps in the Chinese sector, there was a small growth [in the total value of brands], but Sailun and Linglong are clearly leading," said Scott Chen, managing director of Brand Finance China. "The improvement of Sailun's position in various ratings indicates the growing reputation of the brand both locally and internationally, while Linglong maintains its leadership by paying great attention to the strength of its brand. These tire brands prove that even in difficult market conditions, a focus on innovation and communication with consumers can lead to success."

The total value of the 25 leading tire brands in the world grew by 5%, to $38.8 billion, and analysts note that such a small growth is associated with stagnation in the automotive industry.

In 2025, Michelin retained its status as the most expensive and strongest tire brand in the world. The value of the French brand grew by 11%, to $8.8 billion, and Michelin has been in first place in the rating for the eighth year in a row.
