New studded tires Barum

Continental is bringing to the North European market new affordable studded tires Barum Polaris Ice 6, featuring a tread pattern from the premium model Continental IceContact 2, introduced in 2014. 

While the tread pattern has been copied, the studs have been modified and have a triangular shape, and the manufacturer emphasizes that the new Barum tires are very effective in terms of traction on icy surfaces. In addition, the tread design is designed to improve traction and braking performance on snow, and the tires also meet the new North European requirements for road surface wear and are classified as A+.

Barum Polaris Ice 6 are designed for both compact city cars and large crossovers and will be available in 31 sizes with a rim diameter from 14 to 20 inches, and sales will start in June 2026. Moreover, the tires have received the EV marking, confirming that they work optimally on both internal combustion engine vehicles and electric cars.
