The company Pirelli, which already supplies tires to numerous GT and F4 racing series, will be a partner of the Gedlich Racing Winter Series championship, which takes place during the winter months on some of the most challenging circuits in Spain and Portugal. This allows drivers and teams to continue competing in the warm winter of Southern Europe, even when the main championships are on hiatus.

In the fifth season of the WS, there will be five types of competitions that can be attended by both professional drivers and amateurs. Pirelli will support three main types: GT Winter Series (GT2 and GT3 classes), GT4 Winter Series, and Formula Winter Series (F4 class), and as usual, will not only supply tires but also provide technical support to teams on the track.

The season will consist of five racing weekends, the first of which will take place on January 16-19 in Estoril (Portugal), and the last one on March 14-16 in Barcelona, where a 6-hour race will be held for the first time.

For Gran Turismo class cars, Pirelli will supply the latest generation P Zero DF slicks, which were used in the GTWC last year, as well as Cinturato wet tires in several versions. For F4 races, the company will supply DMA slicks for dry track and Cinturato WS tires for rainy weather.

"The partnership with the Winter Series and the support of their rapidly evolving promoter has a dual strategic importance for us, meaning we can continue to work in the Gran Turismo and F4 classes throughout the year, as well as strengthen our position in the Iberian Peninsula market," noted Matteo Braga, Pirelli's track racing participation manager. "In addition, this is not an easy task, as we will need to build an organizational and logistical structure at the local level similar to that used in major international championships. As for the tires, we are all set and can rely on our range, which has been thoroughly tested and highly appreciated by teams and drivers in both GT and single-seater racing."
