Petlas has developed new port tires

Turkish Petlas has announced the release of the Petlas Ptx Terminal tires, specifically designed for port tractors and trailers, and "setting new standards for durability, safety, and efficiency in their segment".

The new tires can be used on all axles of the equipment, and the manufacturer claims that they were created taking into account the unique characteristics of tire operation in ports. Thus, the reinforced construction of the sidewalls improves resistance to damage, ensuring the reliability of the tires in harsh conditions, and the special "anti-static" tread compound reduces the accumulation of electricity, which "reduces the risk of ignition when transporting vulnerable cargo, which is a critically important factor for ensuring safe port operations".

Petlas Ptx Terminal is designed for year-round operation, and the tread pattern with large longitudinal grooves is designed to provide stable traction in any weather. In addition, the S-shaped transverse grooves improve grip and controllability, and the increased tread depth and rubber compound with improved wear resistance extend the life of the tires, reduce equipment downtime, and lower customer expenses.
