The first batch of "green" rubbers

The press service of "Omsk Rubber" reports that on May 16, the first batches of rubber produced using "green" technologies were released from the conveyor belt of the rubber production facility. This type of rubber is distinct in that its production involves the use of non-carcinogenic oil, which meets all EU requirements for environmental safety, unlike the previously used PN-6 oil. Additionally, the high carbon content in the aromatic cores of the compounds in this oil will allow for improved tire traction on wet surfaces and eliminate the release of harmful substances into the atmosphere during braking.
The first tests confirming the above were conducted as early as February. The first batch of "green" rubber will be divided among several Russian companies. In the future, it is planned to offer the new rubber to foreign automotive tire manufacturers.
The transition to environmentally friendly production is one of the main areas of the "PARK: Industrial-Agricultural Regional Clusters" project. At the "Omsk Rubber" plant, which is part of this petrochemical complex, it is planned to continue improving production in the future.
