Overview of the Windforce summer lineup

Автор: Mosautoshina

Currently, the Russian market features numerous Chinese brands, and in our new article, we discuss the summer lineup of one of them, specifically Windforce. According to data from open sources, Windforce Tyres was established in 2012 at the production site of Shandong Haohua Tire in Shouguang (Shandong Province) to sell tires under the same brand. In 2014, 1 million Windforce tires were sold, and in 2015, this number doubled, and now the brand is present in markets around the world. For the summer season, the following models are offered:

Windforce Catchfors PCR. Tires for compact and mid-size cars designed to provide maximum acoustic comfort while also featuring reduced rolling resistance, allowing for fuel savings. The tread pattern with four wide longitudinal grooves is designed for rapid water dispersal and increased safety on wet roads, while the solid central ribs improve directional stability, and the shoulder area design with densely packed blocks is optimized for increased transverse grip, which positively affects handling during turns. Additionally, the special rubber compound increases fuel efficiency. Sizes: 12-16 inches; speed indices: T/H/V.

Windforce Catchfors H/P. Another economical tire that has also been optimized for increased service life. Four main annular grooves and transverse grooves are designed for drainage, continuous ribs improve directional stability and handling sensitivity, massive blocks in the shoulder areas help the tires resist lateral drift and reduce the likelihood of skidding, and the even distribution of loads in the contact patch increases controllability during maneuvers. The rubber compound recipe is designed to reduce rolling resistance and increase grip on both dry and wet surfaces. Sizes: 12-16 inches; speed indices: T/H/V.

Windforce Catchfors UHP. Ultra-High Performance class tires suitable for use at high speeds. The asymmetric tread pattern is designed to improve turn stability, thanks to large blocks in the outer shoulder section, as well as to quickly drain water from the contact patch, which is ensured by wide grooves. Additionally, the optimized pressure distribution in the support zone improves handling characteristics, special protrusions in the grooves repel stones, preventing them from getting stuck in the tread, and the closed shoulder design improves acoustic comfort. Sizes: 15-22 inches; speed indices: V/W/Y.

Windforce Catchfors UHP Pro. Next-generation sports tires with an asymmetric tread pattern designed so that it does not need to be considered for direction of rotation, unlike other tires of this type. Like the Catchfors UHP, these tires have closed shoulders that reduce noise levels, while the solid central ribs and wide water drainage grooves improve handling on dry and wet surfaces, and the rubber compound has been improved to increase grip in various weather conditions. Sizes: 15-21 inches; speed indices: H/V/W/Y.

In 2025, the Catchfors UHP Pro tires were tested by Auto Bild experts, who ultimately disqualified them due to long braking distances on dry/wet asphalt, so it's worth remembering that this is still a budget "rubber", and you shouldn't expect super efficiency from it. At the same time, Auto Bild acknowledges that Chinese brands are improving the quality of their products over time.

Currently, Windforce tires are supplied by Qingdao Landspider Tire, which sells around 10 million passenger and 1 million commercial tires per year. The company's partners produce products at factories in China, Thailand, and Cambodia, and it is planned to start production at new sites in Mexico, Indonesia, and Morocco in the near future.
