New director of YASZ appointed

On September 11, 2026, Sergey Babiy took over as head of the Yaroslavl Tyre Plant, while his predecessor, Valery Nikolaev, will assume another position within the “Kordiant” holding, the tyre manufacturer's press service reported. 

“I sincerely thank Valery Nikolaev for his significant contribution to the development of the Yaroslavl Tyre Plant: maintaining high quality standards, implementing innovations, optimizing processes, and enhancing production safety. I am confident that his professionalism will continue to bring further benefits to the company,” said Dmitry Gorbachev, General Director of the holding.

Previously, Sergey Babiy worked in the metallurgical, mining, financial, and banking sectors, holding various positions at companies such as JSC “NLMK-Ural”, NLMK Belgium Holding, LLC “HC USM Urban Mining”, and others. 

“It is a great honor for me to lead the Yaroslavl Tyre Plant, which laid the foundation for the entire tyre industry in the country. I am confident that together with the team, we will ensure sustainable development of the enterprise and achieve our business goals,” he noted.
