A new president has been appointed to Yokohama TWS

The new president of Yokohama TWS (formerly Trelleborg Wheel Systems) has been appointed as Elio Bartoli, who will take up the position on December 1, 2024. In his new role, Bartoli will replace Paolo Pompei, who will no later than January 1, 2025, head Nokian Tyres.

Bartoli has held various leadership positions in TWS over the past 12 years, including serving as Commercial Director of the Industrial Tires division, leading the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region, and being responsible for the company's original equipment activities.

"We are pleased to welcome Elio as our new president," said Nitin Manga, Chief Operating Officer of Yokohama and Head of Yokohama OHT (formerly Alliance Tire Group). "His deep industry understanding, strategic vision, and customer-centric approach make him the ideal leader for Yokohama TWS at this next stage of development."

Yokohama has also expressed gratitude to Pompei for his "invaluable contribution to the business over the past 25 years".

After acquiring TWS and ATG, the Japanese company has already become a major player in the off-the-road tire segment, and is expected to soon close the deal to acquire the OTR business of Goodyear.
