A new general director of "Belshina" has been appointed
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has agreed to appoint Andrey Soiko as the general director of JSC "Belshina", replacing Alexander Kovalev, who has headed the tire company since 2023.
Soiko has extensive experience in the petrochemical industry and has previously headed JSC "Lakokraska" and JSC "Naftan", as well as serving as deputy chairman of the "Belneftekhim" concern and deputy general director of JSC "Belaruskali", according to "Shinnik".
In response to journalists' questions about the possible expansion of "Belshina's" product range, the company's new head said that it is always necessary to evaluate the feasibility of implementing certain innovations, and the company may start producing tires for motor blocks.
"Of course, there are areas that seem obvious, such as motor blocks. But we always need to weigh the market volume of this product and understand the costs required to develop it," he emphasized.
Ilya Ikan, chairman of "Belneftekhim" (which includes "Belshina"), handed Soiko his service certificate, expressing confidence that under the new leadership, the "Belshina" team will consolidate and choose the right path, which will allow it to ensure profitable current activities with minimal costs and maximum effect, restore sales markets, and implement investment projects...
