At "Omskshina" they are modernizing production
"Cordiant" continues to implement the modernization of its tire plants in Yaroslavl and Omsk, and not so long ago at the "Omskshina", in the assembly-vulcanization shop, an updated machine for assembling radial tires with a landing diameter of 20 inches was put into operation.
The company notes that the new equipment allows assembling up to 430 tires per day, and "the assembly of the mechanism, its adjustment and bringing to the required parameters that allow producing tires of the necessary quality took about three months".
"The modern and precise machine meets the production standards and allows producing different models of radial tires with a lower risk of metal cord breaker skew", - added in "Cordiant".
According to the holding's general director Vadim Volodin, the updated machine "has undergone a deep modernization by the Omsk-based production-engineering company "Polikon", with which the enterprise has been successfully cooperating for over 30 years".
"In the context of a constant search for reliable suppliers, joint work with proven domestic partners is of particular importance today, - Volodin emphasized. - Updates also affected the vulcanization equipment for the production of in-demand sizes - the modernization of molds is carried out by the holding's employees from the "Tekhnotayr" repair center".
"Cordiant" is currently one of the largest tire manufacturers in Russia with five sites, two of which are located in Omsk: "Cordiant-Vostok" produces passenger tires Cordiant and Tunga, and "Omskshina" - trucks and special tires under the brands Omskshina and Tyrex CRG. The combined capacity of the two plants exceeds 5.3 million tires per year.
