MRF enters super bike tire segment
MRF has introduced its first super bike tire, and as Indian media notes, although the company has entered this segment a bit late, it has managed to achieve what none of its local competitors have, as the novelty called MRF Steel Brace SP-01 has been homologated by Suzuki for use on its motorcycles, such as the GSX-8R, Katana and the legendary Hayabusa.

The novelty has a metal cord structure with cord threads arranged parallel to the direction of movement, and unlike many products of this class from other brands, it has a single-component tread structure, and MRF says that during tests, the predicted tire life was 15% higher than that of the Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S23 from the Hayabusa's standard equipment. In addition, the manufacturer emphasizes that the tires are optimized to improve wear evenness, which prevents a sharp decrease in performance during operation.
The tread pattern has been optimized to stabilize the contact patch, which improves grip when entering a turn and predictability of tire behavior, and the silica in the rubber compound has enhanced grip on wet roads.

The tires will be available in five sizes with a 17-inch diameter, and in the future, the lineup is planned to be expanded. A set of tires for the Hayabusa will cost 34,000 rupees (29,000 rubles), and it is reported that this is significantly cheaper compared to products from premium brands such as Pirelli.
