Michelin introduced a new light truck tire

In the North American market, a new light truck tire, the Michelin Agilis CrossClimate 2, has been introduced, which, according to the company, is designed specifically for those who use a pickup or van for work, and "has the same durability as the people behind the wheel".

Michelin Agilis CrossClimate 2 is made using CurbGard technology, and Michelin notes that the rubber layer in the sidewalls is 70% thicker than that of the Firestone Transforce HT2, which significantly reduces the likelihood of damage when contacting curbs. In addition, the new tire's mileage is 35% greater than that of the Firestone Transforce HT3, the traction force on snowy surfaces is 35% higher than that of the Goodyear Wrangler Workhorse HT, and thanks to the SipeLock technology, hundreds of traction edges have been added to the tread pattern. Compared to the Michelin Agilis tires, the new tire can last 20% longer, the company adds.

When creating the tires, MaxPressure Profile (optimized contact patch increases wear resistance during high-load operation) and StabiliBlok (optimized tread block design prevents excessive wear under high torque) technologies were also used, and the snowflake marking confirms that the tires are suitable for winter use. In addition, a special rubber compound increases the tire's lifespan, including during frequent stops and heavy cargo transportation.

Initially, the tires will be available in 18 sizes, which will cover 90% of the target market, and additional sizes will be released in October.
