Michelin exceeds the 2030 sustainable development goals with the latest tire prototypes

Two new Michelin tyres have moved the manufacturer one step closer to its goal of producing tyres made from 100% bio-sourced, renewable or recycled materials by 2050.

Approved for on-road use, the prototype passenger car and bus tyres contain 45% and 58% eco-friendly materials, respectively. With "a level of performance strictly identical to current tyres", they foreshadow technologies that we will see in Michelin's products within two to three years.
