Best tires from Kumho

Engineers at the Korean company Kumho claim to have developed tires that can receive the highest ratings under the European Union's new classification system. Recall that the EU's new tire labeling includes three main parameters of automobile tires: rolling resistance, wet grip, and acoustic comfort.
The tire, which will be released in Europe this summer, has been named the Kumho Ecowing ES01. Serious expectations regarding its operational characteristics are based on dual testing conducted by the Netherlands' State Road Service and TUV SUD. The first highly rated the tire's wet grip, while the second rated its low rolling resistance.
Kumho representatives also claim that the tire has a low noise level - just 71 dB.
"We have been seriously working on the development of eco-tires for several years to meet the needs of European car owners who attach great importance to environmental aspects. Our efforts have not been in vain, and ultimately, we have developed the Kumho Ecowing ES01, which provides enhanced energy efficiency, wet grip, and reliability, as well as low noise levels. In 2002, we became the first tire manufacturer to receive the right to label our products with the Nordic Ecolabel eco-symbol, and now our tires have received the highest ratings under the EU's new labeling system," said Kumho Vice President Jeong Taek Cho.
