Kumho in the new racing monoseries

Kumho Tire will serve as the exclusive supplier for the new Alpine Class monoseries, whose stages will be held as part of the Korean O-NE SuperRace Championship, the largest in the country, the tire company reported.

The Alpine Class series was created in cooperation with the Korean branch of Renault, and all drivers will pilot rear-wheel drive Alpine A110S sports cars with 300 horsepower, equipped with semi-slick Kumho Ecsta V730 tires, developed specifically to provide high traction and optimal controllability at high speeds.

"Kumho Tire is the official tire supplier for numerous racing competitions both in Korea and abroad," noted Kumho's Marketing Executive Director Yoon Min-seok. "As part of the new partnership, we will do our best to ensure the success of the new series and contribute to the development of Korean motorsport."

Kumho tires are used by drivers all over the world, and one of the recent significant events was that last year the company became the title sponsor of the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour, the world's largest touring car racing championship.
