"Cordiant" became a partner of the "Museums of the Russian North" program
The Cordiant holding company has joined the list of partners of the "Museums of the Russian North" program, implemented by the "Dobrota Severa" charitable foundation, and has begun supporting the XVI grant competition, as well as a project to develop the exhibition and exhibition activities of museums.
"We are very pleased to welcome the Cordiant holding company as a new partner of the program," said Elena Topoleva-Soldunova, director of the foundation, adding that "when business, NGOs, and culture unite their efforts, new opportunities are born - for museums, for specialists, for communities. Such partnerships always have an effect that is felt far beyond the museum walls".
The program is implemented with the support of the company "Severstal" (which acquired "Cordiant" in 2024) in order to promote the development of the northern regions of the country through the support of museum initiatives and the popularization of the historical and cultural phenomenon of the Russian North.
"Support for social and cultural initiatives is an opportunity for business to be useful to society," noted Vadim Volodin, General Director of Cordiant JSC. "At our plants, we implement projects of various orientations - from corporate volunteering to supporting environmental initiatives, and we are always ready to discuss new ideas that coincide with our vision. The concept of "Museums of the Russian North" is very close to us. Preservation of heritage is what we are already doing in Yaroslavl, where our historical production site is located - the first tire plant in the country, founded in 1932. The plant has the only Museum of the History of the Tire Industry in Russia. Cooperation with "Museums of the Russian North" will help us make our museum more interesting and modern, and our participation in the life of the "Museums of the Russian North" project will allow other small museums to implement bold ideas".
As part of the partnership with Cordiant, by the end of the year, 12 museums will open new exhibitions, and the winning museums of the grant competition will also be determined.
