"Cordiant" revealed details about new studded tires Cordiant Sno-Max 7000
In the winter season of 2025/2026, one of the key novelties from domestic manufacturers will undoubtedly be the studded tire Cordiant Sno-Max 7000, details of which were recently revealed by the company "Cordiant". The tires will be produced at a plant in Ulyanovsk, formerly owned by Bridgestone, and the tread pattern was also "inherited" from one of the models of the Japanese brand, namely the legendary Bridgestone Ice Cruiser 7000, presented back in 2010 and after that passed on its design to such tires as Firestone Ice Cruiser 7 (also produced in Russia) and Lassa Iceways 2.

The tread pattern is well recognizable by the wide solid rib in the central zone, which has increased resistance to deformation and is designed to improve handling sensitivity and the tire's ability to follow the desired trajectory when cornering. In addition, the wedge-shaped diagonal grooves, arranged in a checkerboard pattern, accelerate the removal of water, mud, and snow to the sides, while the shoulder blocks with curved edges increase traction and braking efficiency, and the manufacturer claims that the tires handle well, including driving on snowy ruts.

In "Cordiant", they add that "about 75% of all winter characteristics are provided by the studs", and in Sno-Max 7000, studs are installed in a reinforced aluminum housing, created for maximum enhancement of grip on ice. Since the studs must also be reliably retained in the tread, a special rigid rubber compound was developed for the sub-groove layer, which prevents their loss, which, according to the company, allows the tires to maintain optimal grip qualities on icy surfaces throughout their entire service life. The studs are arranged in 16 rows, and the scheme of their placement is optimized to increase traction both when driving straight and when maneuvering, and the manufacturer notes that "this is a modern, technological winter tire that will give confidence behind the wheel even in the most difficult winter conditions".

Cordiant Sno-Max 7000 is available in a couple of dozen sizes from 175/70 R13 to 235/55 R17, and soon "Cordiant" will reveal details about another studded novelty - Gislaved SpikeControl, which belongs to the premium segment and received a design from Bridgestone Blizzak Spike-02 tires, presented in 2016.
