In other words, if there is a size of 205/65/16 in the passenger segment, then for commercial transport, the size of 205/65/16 C is also possible, but the tire will be radically different. What are these differences?

First of all, the tires, of course, will differ in load capacity. Commercial transport tires have a higher load index by 200 kg, which means that the set will have 800 kg and in some cases more. Balance is important in the tire, if you get such an improvement in load capacity, which in fact is not needed for passenger transport, then you will have to pay with a significant decrease in comfort. High load capacity of tires is ensured by additional layers of the carcass, and they, in turn, will make you feel all the unevenness of the road. In addition, the issue is not only low comfort but also increased stress on the car's suspension elements, the resource of which can also decrease significantly.

In addition to the loss of comfort and increased load capacity, commercial transport tires can have a higher resource. This is due to the fact that rubber compounds are designed for long routes and high loads. On the one hand, good characteristics for improvement, but on the other hand, you may have to pay for it with characteristics in braking. But this already depends on the model, and it cannot be said that such a dependence will necessarily be.

However, it is essential to choose tires for your type of transport and pay attention to the markings.
