What damages cannot be ignored?

Car tires are the only thing that connects a car to the road. At the same time, ensuring safety and handling is directly related to the condition of the tires. What damages make tire operation dangerous, we'll figure it out today.

First of all, it's impossible to postpone damages related to loss of pressure. It can be not only a sharp loss, but also a gradual one. Without having time to repair the tire, some car owners prefer to simply pump up the tires in the morning before the trip. But there are also damages that do not lead to loss of pressure, nevertheless, they cannot be left unattended.

The most common damage that seems harmless at first glance, but nevertheless most often simply slowly kills your tires, is a non-penetrating puncture or cut of the tread. Such damage leads to constant moisture entering the inner layers of the tire and corrosion of the breaker layers. As a result, the tire loses its shape and it becomes impossible to operate it.

A more noticeable, but also often deformed damage, is a non-penetrating damage to the sidewall. An example is shown in the photo for this article. The driver is reassured by the fact that there are no deformations at the damage site, and therefore, the cord threads are not affected. Does this mean that the damage is safe? Of course not. The damage weakens the tire in any case. The thickness of the sidewall does not exceed 5-7 mm, and it consists only of rubber and a textile frame. For obvious reasons, there are no unnecessary elements on the tire, and any weakened spot can lead to more significant damage. This is especially true in cases where the tire is under load.

Any damage should be examined by a qualified specialist. Do not neglect your safety.
