Hankook releases new winter tires
Company Hankook shared details about the announced during the exhibition The Tire Cologne non-studded winter tires of the European type Hankook Winter i*cept evo4 and reported that the key features of the novelty are reduced rolling resistance and noise, which means that the tires will improve comfort during daily use and reduce environmental impact. In addition, the durability of the tires has been improved by 15% compared to the Hankook Winter i*cept evo3.
The reduction in rolling resistance was achieved by reducing the vulcanization temperature and optimizing the dispersion of silica, while the acoustic comfort was improved by significantly redesigning the tread pattern and, in particular, changing the design of the central grooves.

In Hankook, they add that thanks to the new geometry of the tread pattern, the tires are able to reduce the braking distance on snow and generally provide reliable traction in difficult weather conditions. In addition, since winter tires are made from softer rubber compounds, this allows increasing the contact area between the tread and the road, which slows down wear, and, as the company says, engineers deliberately used this effect to extend the life of the tires compared to the previous model.
"By releasing Winter i*cept evo4, we continue to develop the success of our winter line, — said Jongho Park, President and COO of Hankook Tire Europe. — The new tire provides both a high level of safety and maximum comfort, and at the same time, low rolling resistance allows the tires to meet the requirements for economy».

Hankook Winter i*cept evo4 tires will be available in 93 sizes, and the Winter i*cept evo4 SUV version — in 75 sizes, and thanks to such a wide range, the tires can be installed on a variety of vehicles from compact cars to large crossovers and SUVs.
