Hankook has announced the release of new SUV tires with enhanced comfort

Hankook Tire has added new all-season tires Hankook Dynapro HP3 to its range, which, like other models in this line, are designed for crossovers and SUVs. The tires will be released on the Korean market in March of this year.

The new product belongs to the category of high-comfort tires, and, in particular, the patented Hankook Knurling technology (ribbed sidewalls of tread elements) has reduced the noise generated during air passage through the main grooves by 2.5 dB, while the pattern has been optimized for shock and vibration absorption, which improves ride comfort. In addition, the width of the grooves and the density of the lamella arrangement have been increased, which has increased the traction force on snow by 10%, while the handling on dry and wet asphalt has been improved by 8 and 4% compared to the previous generation of tires.

The developers have also improved the uniformity of pressure distribution in the contact patch, including under high loads, which, according to the company, has significantly reduced uneven wear, and the latest rubber compound has increased the strength and wear resistance of the tires, resulting in a 7% increase in their service life.

To test the reliability of the tires, Hankook conducted tests at its Technoring proving ground in Tae-an (South Korea), the largest tire testing ground in Asia, and it is reported that after covering 1600 km, the tires fully met the manufacturer's requirements and showed no signs of abnormal wear.

According to Lee Yong-gwan, the head of Hankook's Korean division, the new tires surpass the products of the previous generation in terms of smoothness, year-round usability (in regions with a warm climate), and resource, and will be optimally suited for crossovers used as family cars. "We will make every effort to meet all consumer requirements and make the Dynapro brand the preferred choice in the SUV tire market," he added.

Hankook Dynapro HP3 will be released on the Korean market in 36 sizes from 16 to 21 inches and will join the Dynapro HPX model in the highway tire segment, which the manufacturer refers to as the "premium comfort" category.
