Goodyear to suspend production in Izmit

Goodyear has taken the decision to temporarily suspend production at its Izmit (Turkey) plant as part of the "business continuity plan". The plant will be shut down from July 15 to August 13 to adjust inventory, and the company does not plan to terminate employment contracts with employees, with work to resume on August 14.

The Izmit plant produces tires for trucks, buses, and agricultural equipment, with a capacity of around 3,000 units of production per day. In Turkey, the company also owns a plant in Adapazari, which produces tires for passenger and light commercial vehicles, agricultural and other special equipment.
