Goodyear increases prices in North America
Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. announced that on May 1, it will raise prices on certain passenger and light truck tire models in the US and Canada. The cost increase will vary by product, and the company cites "growing expenses" as the reason for this decision.
In the US market, the price increase for Goodyear tires will be up to 4%, and in Canada, it will be up to 6%.
Earlier, Sumitomo announced a price increase in North America, noting that this is a response to the introduction of new import duties in the US. The cost of passenger and light truck tires from the Japanese company will increase by up to 25%, and truck tires by up to 10%. The prices will also rise on May 1.
