FAS to assess competition in the tire market

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has sent requests to Russian tire companies to obtain data on production and supply volumes, as well as exports in 2025. The agency's task is to "assess the level of competition in the market, identify areas where antimonopoly regulation measures are needed," reports the FAS press service.

Requests were sent to manufacturers of tires for passenger, truck, and light truck vehicles, agricultural and forestry equipment, special vehicles (construction, mining, industrial), as well as aircraft and motorcycles.

Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed a ban on the sale of tires with increased carcinogen content, which, according to experts, is a protective measure against imports from China.
