Falken started producing tires for electric vehicles in China

Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. has announced that it will launch its first tire for electric vehicles in China in April this year, where the electric vehicle market is booming.

The new tire, "e ZIEX", offers one of the best energy efficiency ratings among all tires ever developed and produced by the Sumitomo Rubber Group.

In developing tires for electric vehicles, the company is focusing on achieving the best performance in terms of energy efficiency and noise reduction. In particular, electric vehicles require tires with lower rolling resistance to improve electric range and allow for longer distances to be traveled on a single charge.

"Using our advanced material development technologies to precisely tune the rubber compounds, we have created tires that are not only among the most energy-efficient on the market today, but also combine excellent performance on wet roads and handling stability," says Falken Tyre.
