Dunlop Aircraft Tyres returns to profit

According to the results of 2023, Dunlop Aircraft Tyres (DAT), a manufacturer of aircraft tires, received a net profit of 19 thousand pounds, whereas a year earlier the company reported a net loss of 2.7 million pounds.

As noted in DAT, last year the aviation industry "started to return to pre-pandemic operating conditions". It is also reported that the pandemic and related lockdowns and other restrictions have had a significant impact on the aviation industry for over three years, and the situation has finally started to improve.

"Despite a number of negative factors, such as unstable raw material, transportation and energy prices, the end of the pandemic allowed the company to return to profitability" - added in DAT.

The company's turnover last year was 54 million pounds, up from 49.5 million pounds in 2022. The operating loss (of 2.16 million pounds) was replaced by operating profit (3.3 million pounds).

DAT is based in Birmingham (UK), and additional service and retreading centers for aircraft tires are located in the USA and China. The company cooperates with leading aircraft manufacturers such as Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier and Embraer.
