For the Hyundai Elexio electric crossover, Nexen tires have been chosen
Nexen Tire will supply tires for the factory equipment of the Hyundai Elexio crossover, intended for the Chinese market. The electric car, built on the E-GMP platform, is produced by Beijing Hyundai, and Nexen will equip the new model with N’Fera Supreme S and N’Fera Primus QX EV tires.
Nexen N'Fera Supreme S are all-season tires designed for use on both internal combustion engine vehicles and electric cars, with a tread pattern optimized using artificial intelligence to reduce noise. AI also helped improve load distribution and increase the contact patch, allowing the tires to provide stable handling when used on heavy vehicles such as electric cars and crossovers. In addition, the special rubber compound and the improved design of the grooves and lamellas allow maintaining a high level of traction as the tires wear out, while the aerodynamic design of the sidewalls reduces air resistance and energy consumption.

Nexen N’Fera Primus QX EV are summer tires for electric cars, created for fans of a sporty driving style and featuring a pattern with compact grooves that increase stability in turns. The groove shape has been optimized for rapid water drainage and skid prevention, while the wide outer shoulder area is designed to guarantee optimal handling during maneuvering.

Nexen began equipping vehicles outside of Korea in 2012, after which it became a partner of premium brands such as Porsche (in 2016), Mercedes, BMW, and Audi, and in the segment of eco-friendly vehicles, the company's tires are installed, for example, on the electric fastback Hyundai Ioniq 6, the hydrogen crossover Hyundai Nexo, and all electric vehicles from Kia.
"This is an important opportunity to demonstrate our competitiveness in the field of electric mobility in China, a strategically important market for us," notes Nexen. "In the future, we plan to expand our partnership with automakers, offering tires suitable for all types of vehicles, not just internal combustion engine vehicles and electric cars."
